Renew Friends, LLC (“Company” or “we”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through compliance with this policy. This policy describes”

  • The types of information we may collect or that you may provide when you register with, access, or use the Renew Friends mobile application (“App”), website at www.renewfriends.com, or other services provided by the Company (collectively, the “Services”).

  • Our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, and protecting, and disclosing that information.

Log in through the App or the Website is required to access and use many of the Services. 

Phone numbers and text communications are managed by Twillio, a third-party service provider. Their terms of service [https://www.twilio.com/legal/tos] and privacy policy [https://www.twilio.com/legal/privacy] govern use and disclosure of certain information you may provide.

Please read this policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, do not download, register with, or use the Services. By downloading, registering with, or using the Services, you agree to this privacy policy. This policy may change from time to time (see Changes to Our Privacy Policy). Your continued use of the Services after we revise this policy means you accept those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates.

USERS UNDER THE AGE OF 55

The Services are not intended for users under 55 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from users under 55. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a user under 55, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a user under 55, please contact us at support@renewfriends.com.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW WE COLLECT IT

We collect information from and about users of our Services:

  • Directly from you when you provide it to us.

  • Automatically when you use the Services.

  • Via third party providers such as Google, Facebook, Prove (https://www.prove.com/), Garbo (https://www.garbo.io/), AWS, etc. in accordance with the terms of their own privacy policies and terms of use and for which Company is not responsible.

Information You Provide to Us

When you download, register with, or use the Services, we may ask you to provide information:

  • By which you may be personally identified such as first name, last name, postal address, email address, telephone number, your profile and other pictures of you that you upload to your account, images of your government issued ID (as permitted by applicable laws), your ID number any other verification information we may request at the time you create your account or when required by Company following notice to you, and additional profile information you provide us, such as your gender, preferred language(s), location, or personal description, which information may be viewable publicly depending on your profile settlings (“personal information”).

  • That is about you but individually does not identify you.

This information includes:

  • Information that you provide by filling in forms via the Services including information provided at the time of registering to use the Services and requesting further services. We may also ask you for information when you enter a contest or promotion sponsored by us and when you report a problem with the Services.

  • Records and copies of your correspondence (including email addresses and phone numbers), if you contact us.

  • Your responses to surveys that we might ask you to complete for research purposes.

  • Details of transactions you carry out through the Services and of the fulfillment of your orders.

Automatic Information Collection

When you download, access, and use the Services, we may use technology to automatically collect:

  • Usage Details. When you access and use the Services, we may automatically collect certain details of your access to and use of the Services, including traffic data, location data, logs, and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on or through the Services.

  • Device Information. We may collect information about your device and internet connection, including the device's unique device identifier, IP address, operating system, browser type, network information, and the device's telephone number.

If you do not want us to collect this information do not access or download the Services or delete them from your device.

Information Collection Technologies

The technologies we use for automatic information collection may include:

  • Cookies (or mobile cookies). A cookie is a small file placed on your device. It may be possible to refuse to accept cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your device. However, if you select this setting, you may be unable to access certain parts of our Services.

  • Web Beacons. Pages of the Services may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that permit the Company, for example, to count users who have visited those pages and for other related app statistics (for example, recording the popularity of certain app content and verifying system and server integrity).

Third-Party Information Collection

When you use the Services or link your account with third parties, such as Google or Facebook, such third parties may provide us information about you such as your name, email address, phone number and profile and other pictures of you and people your are connected with on those platforms . To the extent permitted by applicable laws and with your consent, we may obtain, for example, reports of criminal records, sex offender registrations, and other information about you and/or your background, including any other jurisdiction (e.g. state, city, county, etc.) police, background, or registered sex offender checks. We may use your information, including your full name and date of birth, to obtain such reports. Third parties may use tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use the Services. We do not control these third parties’ tracking technologies or how they may be used. 

You authorize your wireless carrier to use or disclose information about your account and your wireless device, if available, to Renew Social or its service provider for the duration of your business relationship, solely to help them identify you or your wireless device and to prevent fraud. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal information, to:

  • Provide you with the Services and any other information, products or services that you request from us.

  • Verify your identity, conduct background checks and cross-check your information against public databases through affiliated and unaffiliated service providers.

  • Fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it.

  • Notify you when updates are available, and of changes to any products or services we offer or provide.

The usage information we collect helps us to improve our Services and to deliver a better and more personalized experience by enabling us to:

  • Provide you and other users with the Services.

  • Verify your identity for other users for a better, safer experience using the Services.

  • Estimate our number of users and their usage patterns.

  • Store information about your preferences, allowing us to customize our Services according to your individual interests.

  • Speed up your searches.

  • Recognize you when you use the Services.

We may use the information we collect to display advertisements to our advertisers’ target audiences. Even though we do not disclose your personal information for these purposes without your consent, if you click on or otherwise interact with an advertisement, the advertiser may assume that you meet its target criteria.

YOUR CHOICES ABOUT OUR COLLECTION, USE, AND DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION

We strive to provide you with choices regarding the personal information you provide to us. This section describes mechanisms we provide for you to control certain uses and disclosures of over your information.

  • Tracking Technologies. You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies or block the use of other tracking technologies, some parts of the Services may then be inaccessible or not function properly.

  • Location Information. You can choose whether or not to allow the Services to collect and use real-time information about your device’s location through the device’s privacy settings. If you block the use of location information, some parts of the Services may become inaccessible or not function properly.

  • Promotion by the Company. If you do not want us to use your email address or telephone number to promote our own or third parties’ products or services, you can opt-out by sending us an email or text message stating your request to support@renewfriends.com.

  • We do not control third parties' collection or use of your information to serve interest-based advertising. However, these third parties may provide you with ways to choose not to have your information collected or used in this way. You can opt out of receiving targeted ads from members of the Network Advertising Initiative ("NAI") on the NAI's website.

ACCESSING AND CORRECTING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

You can review and change your personal information by logging into the Services and visiting your account profile page.

You may also send us an email at support@renewfriends.com to request access to, correct, or delete any personal information that you have provided to us. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

YOUR STATE PRIVACY RIGHTS

State consumer privacy laws may provide their residents with additional rights regarding our use of their personal information. California's "Shine the Light" law (Civil Code Section § 1798.83) permits users of our Services that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and Utah each provide their state residents with rights to:

  • Confirm whether we process their personal information.

  • Access and delete certain personal information.

  • Data portability.

Colorado, Connecticut, and Virginia also provide their state residents with rights to:

  • Correct inaccuracies in their personal information, taking into account the information's nature processing purpose.

  • Opt-out of profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Nevada provides its residents with a limited right to opt-out of certain personal information sales. Residents who wish to exercise this sale opt-out rights may submit a request to support@renewfriends.com. However, please know we do not currently sell data triggering that statute's opt-out requirements.

CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY

We may update our privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes to how we treat our users' personal information, we will post the new privacy policy on this page with a notice that the privacy policy has been updated.
